Bill Payment

At Salem Surgery Center, we are committed to providing you with the best available healthcare along with convenient and reliable billing services.

• The Center charges a fee for each surgical procedure performed by the surgeon. The fee includes the cost of a pre-operative evaluation, nursing personnel, medications, supplies and the use of the operating and recovery room.
• We will collect co-payments, co-insurance, and/or deductible payments on the day of surgery. You will receive separate bills from you surgeon, anesthesiologist (if one is needed for your procedure), pathology services, and any other professional services you receive when you are at the surgery center.
• Bring your insurance card and a form of photo identification and method of payment to Salem Surgery Center on the date of your procedure.
• The Center accepts most major medical commercial insurances, HMO/PPO's, Medicare & Medicaid.
• We will bill your insurance company as a courtesy; however, any balance due is your responsibility. Payment will be requested from you if reimbursement from your insurance company is not received within 60 days.
• Uninsured and/or self pay patients will be required to pay for services on or before the surgery date.
• Fees for cosmetic procedures will be expected prior to surgery date. We will accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express, cash or cashier checks. Anesthesia payments are separate from the surgery center. We will accept your payment on the date of service and forward it to Nutfield Anesthesia. This payment must be cash or cashier check made payable to Nutfield Anesthesia.

• If your insurance does not cover the procedure, or you do not have insurance coverage, please contact the facility before the day of surgery to discuss financial arrangements.
